GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
Under the federal No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give clients who are uninsured or not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for services.
If you are not using insurance for your mental health services with Finding Peace LLC, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) that explains how much your care is likely to cost.
What you should know:
• For any non-emergency services, you are entitled to receive a GFE in writing at least 1 business day before your first scheduled appointment.
• The GFE will include expected costs for services that are reasonably expected during your treatment, based on the information available at that time.
• You can ask for a GFE at any time before you schedule an appointment.
• If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your GFE, you can dispute the charges through a formal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
